Top 10 Clave Uncommon Cards

Everyone craves power rares, but the back bone of a good deck, and often a killer combo, is the uncommon card.

Uncommon cards are readily available on the ptrade list and are an excellent way for a player to become familiar with trading with cards. Uncommons are generallly valued at 10 to 25 cents. It's far harder to make a costly mistake when you are setting uncommon trades single card for single card. (Instead of taking the bigger risks of trading rares at a value of $1 to $12 or so- and then realizing thats not such a good idea after all to trade off a Death Ray for a Boot Camp!)

So in honor of the Uncommon Card.

The Top Ten Clave Uncommon Cards

Sabotage : 2L 4E

The card that makes Strife, Behemoth and the Emperor's Flagship cower in fear. Destroy any enemy ship if you have a local persona. Even works at the Star Chamber during times of war. Kill the ship dead. Now. What's not to like?

Gone Rogue : 3L 3E

Arguably as good as Sabotage, Rogue sets any enemy ship loose as a neutral, if you have a local persona. Works at the Chamber, at war or peace. This can backfire, if the ship then charges directly at you!

Humiliation: 2L 2E

Sends any enemy persona , local to one of yours, home immediately, and with a modification to boot! The subject has one less influence when local to another friendly persona. Sends Dauntless Heroes, voters on their way to the chamber, and local irritants home posthaste.

Irradiation: 4E

Any ship, anywhere is dealt damage per turn. An excellent way to soften up and eventually destroy a capital ship or cruiser , or a quick way to terminate a critical scout or minor vessel.

Proton Cannon : 2E

Cheap and powerful. Adds + 7 cannon ( 21 damage) to any ship with 15 or more hull. Combined with the right leaders, Gunner for example, makes a Clave Cruiser a thing to be reckoned with.

Upheaval: 2L

A must in just about any Clave deck. Shuts down all modifications on a planet or the Star Chamber. Best used on Thrall Chambers, Invested Dividends, Creche/War Factory, Mandate, and Industrial Nexus.

Bushwhacker: 2L 3E

Lightly gunned on it's own, this card can combo up to a light fast killer with a conqueror and mounted pulse laser on board.

Storm Clan Infiltration : 2L 3E

Sabotage, with a twist. This card returns to your hand if there is a local friendly flag. It's citizen killing penalty is easily negated by Hyper regeneration, or by playing it on a cheap conqueror. SFI at the Star Chamber anytime creating a nasty surprise for heavy ships parked at the Chamber.. This card also is played on your own citizen, making a Mediator powerless against it.

Ionized Weapons Matrix : 2E

Stacks well with Proton Cannon and a conqueror to strip the sheilds off of enemy fleets, doing 3 or 5 damage to each enemy ships sheildseach time an unsheilded enemy is struck. Works well in large fleet battles.

Veteran Leader: 3L

Disguised as a human card, this Uncommon deserves Clave play. Adds +1 leadership leaders, +3 at war (and what clave doesn't thrive on war). Works particularly well on Gatecrashers. When away from a friendly planet, Gatecrashers and Veteran Leader, at war, yeilds 8 leadership!

1) Boarding Party - He always ensure that 1 on 1 battles are at least a draw, and has been known to destroy enemy star bases without breaking a sweat. Combo with Infinity Drive. 2) Bounty Hunter - Kills enemy heroes and gives you destiny for it. Take that, Remote Informant! 3) Light Gunship - Extremely cheap and a great defensive card. 4) War Cry - One of my favorite war declaring cards, this guy turns 8 BP (for two citizens) into 11 (bomber+cruiser) and declares war! Combos best with cheapo 1-cost cits like Advancing Horde or Rebels. Great with Hyper Regeneration too. 5) Misanthrope - Stackable Archaeologist or mini Fat Cats? Yes please! Combos best with Arcology. 6) Proton Shipyards - This card actually works best with the Thrass, but you can take advantage of cheaper Clave cruisers as well. Play with 3-4 so that it comes out early.

i agree with black dawn ... War cry is an amazing clave Uc and bounty hunter should have made it to the top ten too ..
