Army of Darkness

Overview

This deck takes advantage of many power generation cards to allow me to play high cost power cards. This deck may not be as strong as some of the other popular themes out there, but I find it to be one of the most fun to play. Furthermore, while there have been a few decks like this in the past, I have found since the wood elf change that this type of deck has become a fairly unpopular, and it's always nice to play something different.

The lay out is mostly abilities and units with a few items. The idea is to use Slippers of Dark Mana with a Necromantic Orb to play undead units cheaply, which power left over to play more cards.

Card Spotlights

Gnoll Soothsayer
These units protect early on and give 2 card's to feed to the slippers of dark mana.
Rotting Ghoul
Consider these bombs to thin opposing forces or set a trap at a quest.
Gnome Avatar
The avatar has very weak damage abilities. The special ability, however, will prevent much unwanted damage.
Legends
This deck works well with the play of Legends Mayong Mistmoore and Venril Sathir. It's even possible to have these out by the 3rd turn.
Dain Frostreaver
Why use Sunder when can have this guy in a deck and actually have the power to use him!
Sunstrike and Fiery Inferno
Take advantage of all that power in the late game
Decoy
Dwarven Sentry blocking Mayong Mistmoore? No problem.

I would not recommend this for tournament play due to it being time consuming to play. In fact, I had a match almost won but I ran out of time due to all the clicking involved in playing this deck. That said, I still only lost 2 rounds and even beat a dark priest.
